Our chapter of NIHOA provides officials for three different local hockey leagues, including:
New York State High School Section V Hockey
Local area college club teams including University of Rochester, RIT, and more.
All the college leagues we provide officials for use the NCAA Rulebook while Section V High School Hockey has recently elected to use the National Federation of State High Schools Association (NFHS) Rulebook. Please use the menu to the right for additional rules information.

Q: For high school hockey, do you blow the whistle for a goal?
A: Yes, according to NCAA rules no whistle is blown for a goal, but for Section V high school hockey we will be blowing the whistle for goals.

Looking to join our NIHOA chapter? Our membership is by invitation only after an extensive evaluation period by our evaluation staff. Contact your game scheduler (usually from RIHOA) to express you interest. |

Existing NIHOA members from other districts may freely transfer into our chapter. A probabtionary period may be required upon transfer. |
